Well this has been one of the craziest weeks ever. It seems odd but this was actually our first Christmas since we've been married, our anniverary is tomorrow! It started on Sunday as most weeks do. Dad gave us tickets to the cardinals game and that was an opportunity you just can't pass up. So Jeremy's mom came over and spent the day with Vincent and we were off to the game. The stadium was so amazing, I felt like I was in an airport--totally awesome I wanna go again. But we left at half time to make it home to set up for his birthday party. Turns out Vincent hadn't had a nap all day so I was kinda nervous he'd fall asleep at 7pm when his party was supposed to be so we moved it to 6pm.
Jeremy's mom and grandma came over as well as Vincent's grandparents, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, and 1 Teddy Nixon. It was a fun birthday for all of us because this year he was able to open up presents. He got a backyardigans guitar from Grandma Laurie and he insisted he hold it while opening all the other presents. He has his own little rock and roll stance and jams out quite a bit. Anyways....he also got clothes from me but who wants to open clothes?!? He also got a blow up blues clues thinking chair from Aunt Chani that he loves and has spent much time since contemplating the clues. He is such a boy and loved all of his trucks, bulldozers, and hot wheels.
After presents we had awesome cake. We got him a diego cake that was great. It really was a wonderful day!

On Christmas we woke up at 7am and actually had to set the alarm for it which we never used to do but Vincent lately has been sleeping more like 11pm-8am-- weird! And then we made Vincent go wake up Uncle Adam! Santa brought Vincent this cute schwinn tricycle that has its own VINCENT license plate. He loved it and his f ace when seeing it was priceless- he looked like is this really mine? As the morning progressed he would put all of his presents on the back step of his bike. Jeremy and I got Adam a Cardinals sweatshirt and hat and a new bedspread so he didn't have to keep using my pink one. It was such a great Christmas. Jeremy and I exchanged the rest of our gifts we hadn't already given each other, we aren't very good at waiting until Christmas.
Next we headed over to my parent's house. My dad bought me a bose sound system and my handy husband hooked it up so the tv even plays through it it sounds so nice. My mom bought us some great kitchen stuff- she realized how little we had when we had thanksgiving at our home. We really had a perfect Christmas. It has been so nice spending these last few weeks at home all together. It's gonna be a bummer having to go back to work and school but it'll help out with the bills of course.
I love my family so much. It's crazy -- I wonder how i ever lived without them
